The initial plan for my son’s birthday party this year was to invite everyone over to our house and rent some sort of soft play/kid entertainment setup to run off some energy. Ultimately, my son requested a play place for his party after having a ton of fun at his friends’ parties there. So that my research doesn’t go to waste, here are a handful vendors that I considered for hosting a kid’s birthday party at my house!

Party Baby — bouncy house and soft play setups

I actually hired this vendor last year for my son’s birthday. It was one of the few (perhaps only!) soft play and ball pit rental company I could find in Seattle that looked professional and had a good range of packages. Booking was a breeze, and the owner couldn’t have been nicer when I had to cancel day of because my son was sick 🙄. My son is 3 this year so he and his rowdy friends have probably outgrown the soft play setups, but I think the bouncy houses and bubble houses would be huge hits with them.

Mini Soirees — kid-size furniture rentals and party design

At my son’s 1st birthday party, it was a hassle for parents to sit their toddlers on adult sized chairs to eat. Hovering to make sure the kids didn’t fall of their chairs or make a mess, my friends were frazzled and spent more time instructing their kids than chatting with each other. I made a mental note to get more kid-sized chairs and tables for the next party. Enter Mini Soirees! I found them on Instagram. Their service was exactly what I was looking for. Kid-sized furniture that looked good and wouldn’t live permanently at my house.
